Kindness is a game changer

I used to think that mean girls grew up and grew out of it but I’ve realized that sometimes mean girls turn into mean women and that the drama doesn’t always stop after high school.
Gossip, cruel words, and comparison have become a common theme.
Today is National Women’s Day, and I’ve seen so many amazing and encouraging things written about women by women all over social media. But what if it was always like that? What if women encouraging other women became the theme instead?
It took me a long time to learn that their words did not have to define me, and that people say mean things wether they have a reason to or not. Words hurt. Gossip hurts. Comparison hurts.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
What if we paid more attention to the things we said? What if we prayed for the girls that hurt us? What if we chose not to gossip about each other and instead extended our understanding? What if we celebrated each other every day like we are today?
The strongest women are the ones that love each other.
Kindness is a game changer. Let’s use it more often.
